Products

Which device sizes are supported?

Almost anything on the market, from a compact iPhone SE to the largest Pro Max and Galaxy Ultra models on the market. You can also use the following measurements to double check, or reach out to us to confirm!

Perfect Squeeze Supports Devices up to 4" wide, and .75" thick, in the orientaton you would grip the device (usually on the sides)

Big Squeeze Supports Deviecs between 1.5" and 10" wide, and .75" thick, in the orientation you would grip the device (usually on the sides). It has configurable post locations for more custom applications.

Will this work with my phone case?

Yes — that's one of the things we're most proud of. Our mounts are designed to work with almost any phone in any case, no adapter required. Whether you're running a slim wallet case, a thick OtterBox, or a rugged case with a built-in screen protector, the cradle accommodates it. We've tested with cases up to ~.75" thick.

I'm not sure which is the best mount for my bike. Which should I choose?

We've been there. Shoot us an email with your bike, use-case, and device, and we'll be happy to help find you the perfect setup!

I've used my mount for years, and I want to give it a once-over like I do my bike. Is it serviceable?

Our products are completely serviceable, and designed to be a "buy it for life" product.

If you'd like to DIY, check the Service / Service Parts page for parts for what you are looking for, or send us an email with what you're looking to do. We can set you up with parts at cost, along with written and video instructions.

If you'd prefer to send your trusty sidekick off for a day at the spa, mail it to us with a return address and description of what you'd like to have serviced. We'll refurbish it to the extent you'd like for the cost of parts, and we'll even cover the shipping back to you. Bonus points if you give us a heads up via Email!

How do Hondo Garage mounts compare to RAM or Quad Lock?

RAM mounts have a near-infinite ecosystem of arms and bases. If you need a quirky configuration for a specialty application, RAM is hard to beat. You can even combine RAM arms and other products with our Squeeze mounts using the AMPS pattern on the rear of the mount, to suit nearly any application

Quad Lock requires a dedicated case for your phone, and uses plastic mounting interfaces. We don't. Any phone, any case, day one - no ecosystem lock-in, or buying a new adapter every time you upgrade your phone.

The Perfect Squeeze exists because we were unsatisfied with other mounts on the market (not pointing any fingers, of course!). After watching our phones tumble down the highway behind us, and losing our navigation maps on Baja two-track, we set off to find a way to never have that happen again.

Vibration & Durability

Will the mount hold my phone securely on rough terrain?

Absolutely. The Perfect Squeeze uses a combination of a vice-like lead screw, tapered retention posts, and a ratcheting adjustment knob to squeeze the phone (some would say, perfectly).

This design keeps the device controlled in all axis of movement, when properly tightened. Use the quick-adjust button to quickly adjust the mount opening so that your phone will fit between the posts, then tighten the adjustment knob to squeeze the phone. A quick tug side by side to ensure no movement makes confirmation easy, and helps to avoid unnecessary overtightening.

I've heard vibration can damage phone cameras. How do you address this?

This is a real concern, and we take it seriously. High-frequency vibration from motorcycle engines — particularly big-twin, single-cylinder, and high-revving parallel-twin motors — can affect the optical image stabilization (OIS) in modern phone cameras over time.

Our BuzzKill product line is designed to absorb the high-frequency harmonics most likely to cause issues, and protect your device while in use. Our extensive testing covers the frequency ranges generated by most common large bore single and twin-cylinder engines, and the data we have collected during the development process shows a reduction in vibration transmission that meets or exceeds any other dampening device on the market.

If you have a device with optical image stabilization (OIS) and want to protect it, we strongly recommend the use of a BuzzKill.

Honest note: No mount on the market can guarantee zero vibration transmission in all conditions. It's also difficult to pin-down camera damage being caused by engine vibration versus drops during normal use or manufacturer defect. With that being said, we have not had a report of camera damage when a BuzzKill is used, nor have we encountered it during extensive testing.

What are the mounts made from? Can they handle heat, cold, and UV?

All structural components are machined from 6061 Billet Aluminum, then Type II Anodized. They won't warp in summer heat, crack in sub-zero Montana winters, or become brittle over time.

Hardware is stainless steel throughout, making for an extremely robust assembly.

Although we go to great lengths to ensure a long-lasting Anodized finish through dye selection and close process controls, all anodizing is subject to UV degradation over multi-year spans of extensive exposure. Just like your bike, we recommend covered storage when not in use.

Warranty & Returns

What does the Lifetime Warranty cover?

Every Hondo Garage mount is covered by a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If something breaks under normal use — we'll replace it. No expiration date, no fine print about "warranty periods."

What it doesn't cover: damage from crashes, normal wear and tear, or using the mount in ways it wasn't designed for. We're reasonable people — if you took a hammer to it, that's not a warranty claim. But if it just failed on you, reach out and we'll make it right.

I lost a bolt or small piece. Can I get a replacement?

Yes. We stock hardware for all current products and make them available online under Support / Service Parts. If you don't see what you need listed, email us with a description and we'll get you taken care of, often at no charge (domestic) or at a small cost for international shipments.

We work to use standard fasteners throughout specifically so that in a pinch, you can source hardware locally if we can't get something to you in time.

Does the Warranty transfer if I sell or gift a mount?

Yes. The lifetime warranty follows the product, not the purchaser. If you sell or gift a Hondo mount, the new owner can claim warranty service. They'll just need the original order number or proof of purchase — something we can usually look up if they contact us with the seller's name or email.

I took a tumble and damaged my Hondo product. What's next?

Crashes and get-offs are our least-favorite part, but as we all know and plan for, it happens.

Reach out to us with your story, and we'll work with you to get your mount ready to ride for when you are. Our products are designed to be lifetime-serviceable, and rebuilds can be done "DIY" with provided instructions, or you can ship it to our facility to be refurbished.

Replacement parts are billed at cost, and we do not charge for labor. You'll cover the shipping here, and we'll cover it on the way back!

How do I make a Warranty claim?

To make a warranty claim: Email support@hondogarage.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. That's it — no forms, no RMA numbers, no returning the broken part first. It's something we very rarely encounter, so it's easy for us to get you taken care of in no time!

International Orders

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship worldwide. All orders are fulfilled from Bozeman, Montana, USA via USPS Priority International, or UPS Expedited International depending on your preference. Tracking is included on all shipments.

Can I return an order from outside the US?

Yes, within 15 days of delivery on unused products. International return shipping is the customer's responsibility, and we recommend using a tracked service — we can't process refunds for packages that don't arrive. Once we receive the return, we'll refund your product cost in full. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

If the cost of return shipping is close to the product value, reach out first — sometimes it makes more sense to find another solution than to ship something back across an ocean.

Will I have to pay import duties or customs fees?

Potentially yes, depending on your country. When your order crosses an international border, your local customs authority may assess import duties, VAT, GST, or other taxes. These charges are determined entirely by your country's regulations — we have no control over them and cannot predict the exact amount.

As a general rule:

  • Canada: Small orders (under ~CAD $20) often clear duty-free. Larger orders may attract import duties of 5–18% depending on product classification.
  • UK / EU: VAT applies to all imports. The UK charges 20% VAT; EU countries charge their local VAT rate (typically 19–25%). Orders over €150 into the EU may also attract customs duty.
  • Australia: GST of 10% is typically collected at checkout for orders under AUD $1,000 via Shopify's automatic collection. Orders over AUD $1,000 are assessed at the border.

We declare the full and accurate value on all customs forms. We cannot mark shipments as "gifts" or undervalue them to reduce your import fees — this is illegal and we won't do it even if asked.

My package is stuck in customs. What should I do?

First, check your tracking — if the package is sitting at a customs facility, it usually means either a routine inspection or a duties payment is required. Your carrier (USPS/FedEx) will typically notify you by email with instructions for paying any fees owed.

If tracking shows no movement for more than 3 weeks and you haven't received a customs notice, contact us at support@hondogarage.com with your order number. We'll open a trace investigation and, if the package is confirmed lost, reship at no charge.

Does the lifetime warranty apply to international orders?

The lifetime warranty applies to every Hondo Garage product regardless of where in the world it was shipped.

For international warranty claims involving defective parts or issues that are our fault, we'll ship a replacement to you at no cost.

If you take a tumble or damage your mount during normal use, we'll always work to support you with replacement parts, but will ask that you help to cover shipping costs.

Do international orders qualify for Free Shipping?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer promotional free shipping outside of CONUS, due to cost variability, duties, tariffs, and other factors outside of our control.
