Our Death-Grip universal bar clamp let's you mount your phone to any handlebar in portrait or landscape orientation, and the clamping arms are reversible to grab 1/2" universal dash mount bars commonly found on ADV bikes!

Built in to the Death-Grip clamp is our Vibe-Check isolation technology that keeps your phone safe from engine-induced micro-vibrations that can wreck internal components.

Technical Advantages

  • Death-Grip Universal Mount

    The Death-Grip handlebar clamp uses our proprietary linear clamp design that allows for consistent grip on any handlebar. Unlike other clamps, the Death Grip doesn’t need to wrap all the way around the bar, making it especially useful for clamping in between the bar clamps on most motorcycles. Made from aluminum and stainless steel, it’s durable, fully rebuildable, and made by us in Manhattan, Montana.

    The lower slide can be repositioned to allow for rock-solid mounting in either landscape or portrait orientation. And the built-in Vibe-Check technology protects your phone’s camera from damaging engine vibrations. The Death-Grip is our most universal mounting solution for the Perfect Squeeze and can easily be moved from bike to bike.

  • Vibe-Check Technology

    We've reinvented the vibration isolator for the unique rigors of off-road racing. The Vibe-Check technology built into every Death-Grip mount, uses an auxetic lattice structure to isolate your phone or GPS from damaging engine vibrations.

    This incredible geometry (known as a metamaterial) allows the Hondo Garage Death-Grip to protect your devices while remaining both compact and tough enough for use on aggressively-ridden motorcycles.

What makes the perfect squeeze different from other cheaper mounts?

Most mounts use plastic, spring tension, or rubber bands. Ours are CNC-machined from aluminum for precision and long-term durability. Our mechanism uses an adjustable lead screw, generating up to 90lbs of clamping force. Nothing flexes, nothing breaks, nothing wiggles. We designed it to survive what your bike can.

Will this fit my bars and my phone?

Phone Fitment - Grip width 2.29-4in. Works with most cases.

Bar Fitment - Two positions allow for gripping bars between 1/2"- 1 1/8" diameter.

This is the most universal mounting solution we make for motorcycles.

Can I Install this myself?

Just Decide where on your bars you want to mount, configure the BarClaws for either landscape or portrait orientation and then bolt the new setup together—Perfect Squeeze, BuzzKill, and BarClaw Clamp. Drop it over your bars, tighten up the claws and you're ready to ride!

If you ride with tools, you’ve already got what you need.

Will it hold on rough trails or at high speed?

That’s what it’s built for. This setup is used by riders in Baja, Dakar-style rallies, and across the BDRs. Washboard, rock gardens, freeway speeds—your phone stays locked in, period.

Why do I need a phone mount?

It's about navigation, not notifications. Apps such as as Gaia gps, Onx, GOAT maps, LeadnNav etc. are all state of the art navigation tools that offer better user interfaces than most of the dedicated GPS devices.

And even if you don't want your primary phone on your bars, using an old phone or tablet as a dedicated navigation device is a really good idea. You don't need active cell service to use GPS, so using your old phone works great and you can always use your current phone as a hotspot for data.

And even if your bike has a screen and carplay, a lot of the good apps don't play well with carplay. Plus we think your bikes screen should keep the gauges front and center so having two screens gives you everything you need at a glance, navigation and bike gauges.
